§ 01About the Association

An independent, voluntary and non‑profit association — established to promote structured economic cooperation between the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Cyprus.

Founded on 4 November 2025, SLOCIP acquires legal personality upon registration in the Register of Associations of the Republic of Slovenia, and operates under Slovenian legislation and applicable European Union law.

As a private law entity, the Association acts in full compliance with the principles of transparency, professionalism, equality of members and business ethics.

The mandate of elected bodies runs for seven years and may be renewed. Meetings of governing bodies may be held physically or electronically in accordance with statutory provisions.

Policy

In accordance with Slovenian law, the Association may also perform complementary revenue‑generating activities related to its statutory purpose. Any surplus income is exclusively reinvested into the Association's non‑profit objectives.

Operational management — executes the strategy set by the Assembly.

Represents the Association before public authorities and third parties; acts as its legal representative.

Financial operations follow Slovenian accounting standards for associations. Annual reports are submitted to AJPES. Distribution of assets among members is strictly prohibited; on dissolution, remaining assets transfer to a non‑profit entity with similar objectives.
